Thanks, I'm glad you like it! I tried to make it better than the 1.0 version in every way. Did you notice the satellite icon?

I'd be especially interested to know if anyone has suggestions for what can be added or improved, and if anyone actually DIDN'T have the MS Forms 2.0 ActiveX control and had to install it from the link.

Also, do people prefer objects or widgets?

Regarding MA, see my comments on the 1.0 object version of this in the object library. MA, and a few other states, like Maryland, are too small to have dedicated satellite views. That's why the or give you CT for MA. It is not an error.

Tucked away in my comp room, I need "eyes" to see whats going on.

Thank you very much for this widget.

I much prefer the widgets. I don't usually like to have DX running all the time. Man, I haven't ever seen this great a pic before. The Dallas weather maps pale by comparison. I just wish there was some weather to look at. Just a big bunch of nothing ATM LOL

If you're bored, you can always "Continental US" to look for some weather.... LOL

N' nope, ain't got Office. Before I loaded forms the mouse cursor was runnin' under stuff. After I installed it the cursor works fine but I don't get no choices on the configuration menu.

I'm lible to have to go out n' buy Office jest to get this to work. It'd be worth it!

Sounds like the MS control isn't installed properly, or DesktopX isn't aware of it.

Stardock just put a combobox control in the latest version of DX(2.19m[b]) but a lot of people don't have that installed yet.

Also Stardock's new control currently has some limitations that prevent me from using it:
-Doesn't support tabs in the itemtext
-Won't let me set the font
-Won't let an item have a defined value other then what shows in the list.

The MS control can do these things, and I need at least one of them to use the control with this widget. If they Stardock enhances their combobox control a bit, I'll build a new version that uses it.

Anyone having trouble with the Forms 2.0 ActiveX control you get with the link on the front page, you can try this one instead: http://download.microsoft.com/download/activexcontrolpad/Install/4.0.0.950/WIN98MeXP/EN-US/setuppad.exe

Craig, you close it like all widgets: right click on it (on the frame or a button) and Close.

Will:
The control has benn there for many many builds. Re your limitation issues:
1) use a lot of spaces, profix the text you want to hide with an obscure string e.g. "///" and use Instr to find the data you want.
2) Fair enough, but not really crucial.
3) Why not use Select Case to interpret the ed value or hide it in the string as per point 1?

I have a suggestion.

Add a Super Zoom so I can see my house or yours using point and click. LOL

Seriously, this widget is by far one of the most useful to me and very well made.

Thank you very much.

This is very nice. But, I have two problems. 1) It does not remember my configuration after I reboot. 2) The last update is sometimes one hour ago which is not too good if you are monitoring the weather.

I prefer objects so I can modify if needed and I can always make a widget out of an object.
