Stephen, if you use the widget manager then alternate click on its icon in the system tray, select options then click on *view widget cache*.  That will open the folder where your active widgets are.  Find the ones for Omni mail (all of them) and delete them.   If you don't use widget manager, go to your stardock folder where your widgets are living (Stardock>object desktop>Desktop X>Widget and take out the omni one.  You might want to make a shortcut to the widget manager (it is in your Desktop X folder) somewhere since it is pretty handy.

Hey Tiggz!

Love the new version. I used the older one since it came out and I'm glad to see some of the new features. Something to maybe looking to though, whenever I boot up EE2 (empire earth 2) it takes me back to my desktop when it checks mail. Not really your problem, and I just exit the mail checker when I play and reopen it when I finish

Anyways. Thanks again for the great widget

I've used the GT3 email checker object for quite a while now, but I figured I'd give this a try since I could check multiple accounts. Unfortunately, it doesn't work for me. When I first load the widget and it finds new mail, it will correctly display the new mail count for both the individual account and overall count before setting the individual account back to 0 a second later, followed by the main count a moment later. I wish this would work since I've got three email accounts I try to keep track of, but neither this nor the original OMNI checker work, only the older and rather limited GT3 checker.

I've become something of a GT3 freak and noticed, using your CPU/RAM widget, that the OMNI mail checker often pushes CPU usage to 100% where it remains. Unloading the checker brings the CPU usage down to more normal ranges. Is this specific to my machine or are others noticing this?

Also, I've been using Hotpopper[fitsoftware.com] with my Opera browser to "convert" hotmail to a POP3 type. Hotpopper also works well with the Omni Mail checker enabling me to check all my hotmail accounts as well.

Hmmmm....I believe I solved the CPU problem with the "old widget cure-all". I drilled down to the Widget Cache Folder buried under Documents and Settings and deleted the OMNI folder and all it's files. Reloading the Widget now does not affect the CPU usage in any substantial way.

Evry so often this widget won't load or I can't change it's prefs. So I close it, use widget manager to clear the cache and then reload it. works fine after that until I need to do it again...wish there was a way not to have to to this.
