Thanks for the heads up!
Since I use the helper extensively with developing, and playing with DX toys, I hadn't noticed this.
The object remembers its state on shut-down and then checks that on start-up.
The simple answer is to right-click the desktop > DesktopX Builder > Toggle Object Palette to close it. It won't open again until you toggle it again.
I've tested this by both logging off and back on, then restarting; both times no helper until I toggled it back.
You could also use the Right-click > properties > accessability > taskbar/system tray (you choose) to take it off your desktop if real estate/visibility is an issue.
