Tiggz, you are the best! I thought your first OMNI slides widget couldn't be improved but I was totally wrong!
This one is EXCELLENT! Looking forward to the matching OMNI WB skin. Keep up this brilliant work and thanks for sharing.

thanks all

Thanks David, although I am sure any properly trained scripting-type-person would look at one of mine and have a heart attack I have a feeling I come from the "use a sledgehammer to crack a nut" school of scripting with just a hint of "if it doesn't fit, hit it harder" (a skill I learnt in my previous life as a carpenter).

Tiggz: The previous OMNI slideshow is one of my all time favorite widgets. This blows even that work of brilliance away. Simply asoundingly good work.

I remember using this a while ago. (Version 1.0 I mean) But I had to stop using it due to an odd error. It just won't start up anymore. No error messages or anything, task manager says it's running but I don't see it anymore. I of course redownloaded it many times but it diddn't fix it. So when version 2.0 came out I was excited because, well, it's a different program so it will work. Nope... It did however show me the startup screen for it. (The little "Add folder to blah blah" with the little pictures) And I could even add a folder to it through it's right click menu but it never showed me the actual slideshow.

So...any ideas as to me problem?
(By the way this is a totally awesome widget, well V 1.0 anyway, I recomend it to everyone.)

Sharshark28, clear it out of your cache and reload it.  to do that, open the widget manager (i keep mine running in the tray), select options, then view widget cache.  Then delete ill instances of slideshow that you see. Then reload the widget.  This will work for any widget that acts like this.

Thanks alot GoodMorphing. That worked perfectly, and thanks for showing me that the widget manager even exists. I never noticed that before.

Ahhh...still as great as I remember it.

This is obviously a well written widget. And very useful. I'm in no position to be critical of someone else's hard work but I would like to offer a suggestion...

The widget, as it is, allows you to set the size of the "slideshow" to a certain percentage; 25%, 50%, etc. If the original pics are of varying sizes, then the slideshow frame will change sizes accordingly. It would be cool to be able to show the slideshow in a "fixed" size, regardless of the original pics. For example, maybe the slideshow could be set to 200 or 400 representing the number of pixels occupied by the slideshow. Every picture would then be displayed in the same size frame. This helps when trying to neatly place other widgets or objects on the desktop along with the slideshow.

No worries rridgdill, that's a perfectly reasonable suggestion and something I had already thought about adding to a future version of this widget at some point.

What I would probably do is something like have a choice between the percentage size (as it is now), fixed width or fixed height. I guess it would be possible to add a fixed width-and-height option as well, but with the different aspect ratio of displayed slides there would be some blank areas within the frame. I could probably figure something out though.

It's going to have to wait for a while though because I have quite a full plate at the moment.

NOW this is one sweet widget. Works like a charm and, does what it says on the tin.

Two things though;

1. Ive had to resize quite a few photographic to be able to fit then on the screen as even at 25% they still filled the whole screen, (I wont tell you what they did at 100%).
2. Is it possibility for the widget to auto rotating the photograph when in portrait mode or is this something that has to be done in an external programme.

keep up the good work..
