I have not been able to get this widget to work. I extracted to desktopx/widgets folder. I already had the fonts installed. All I get is a system generated error report for M$$ (I can't make out the error report. I am using XP Pro w/all updates. I really like the looks and functions of this widget and want to be able to try it. Any suggestions?

For Citizen pland53:

This application is a GADGET. So don't use DesktopX or Widget Manager to run it! Please unload this programs from your System, find the temporary folder by path:
"C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Stardock\WeatherLab" and delete it. Then check the Internet Connection and run WeatherLab from Windows Explorer. After the initialisation it must works correctly.

Best Regards.

Looks like an awesome gadget. but for some reason, it refuses to work with my firewall, no matter what settings I use. I use Kaspersky Anti-hacker. Anyone could give me some help it would be appreciated.

For Citizen Psikotik:

Hm... There are very power programs you use to protect your computer...

Please try to allow the WeatherLab an access to all system resources. Particularly to a folder: "C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR USERNAME\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files". This gadget must work with this folder without fall.

Hope this will help you.

Awesome! What a great new toy. And I love the ability to get instant weather reports from all over the world.

Psikotik, I am using Kaspersky Anti-hacker also and found no problems getting this weather gadget to work. Check the "applications" icon on your firewall menu and make sure that SD_WeatherLab_303.exe is allowed. You may have to set a new "application rule" for it.

Thank you for your addition to our upcoming (June 1st through November) weather monitoring for tropical storms and hurricanes. Your Weather Lab will make for a perfect addition to our computer weather monitoring screens.

After comments like these, from such experienced sources, and seeing the close support forthcoming from Vad M, I've got to try this.
Will get back and let you know how it works. Thanks in advance, Vad.

Vad M, sorry for the misunderstanding. I just thought since you used 'widget' in your description AND it is in the 'widget' section of wincustomize .... ANYWAY, your prog works GREAT!! The first word that came to my mind when I saw the graphics from your widget on my screen was STUNNING!! I thought I would like to use it, but this is an answer to a weather freak's (that would be me) prayer! This will be on my desktop for a loong time! Again, FABULOUS work!

State-of-the-art! Cutting edge! I, too, was wondering about adding/changing locations... Right-click?! Of course.

Will there be a SD Email Checker? Just curious.

For Mr jlaj1989:

What do you think about SD_Desktop? It seems me you'll find E-mail Checker there.

Definately one of the best weather widgets so far. I did notice a thing or two if you could fix. Typo "dirrection" instead of "direction" on mouse over forcasts. Also, first character in word "chance" (of rain) looks like "Dj" (maybe Russian character?). Wind direction and speed change in the compact display if you click on the extended forcasts, moon displays, navigational display, etc. Very cool otherwise, expecially like the navigational display.

This is a wonderfill Gadget with more information provided to me than any weather wiget.

Though I am encountering a small problem with the barometer next to the weather icon. The needle seems to always stay inplace no matter what the preasure reads, Same with the icon inside the barometer.

For Ufotofu: Big thanks but I already corrected these mistakes! This is a mysticism... May be I have mixed up the widgets when uploaded them?
Very sorry. I'll send the update much soon.

For Mr jlaj1989: Hi Jerry, if the creation of SD_Desktop will require much time I'll make the Main Control Dsplay as a separate widget and send it here.

For Citizen Maj_Kusanagi: Please tell me what Regional Settings are default in your Computer System?

Problem: the decimal separator in Pressure Data is "." but my System uses ",". As a result program couldn't understand and analyse such data. So I have added "FormatNumber" VBScript function to format the numbers which contains a decimal parts for current Regional Settings. After that the script worked without any errors. But why this function doesn't work in your computer? I don't understand that... Give me some time to think about...

I like this widget very much, thank you. The wind direction indicator points in the wrong direction, it should point to the source of the wind. Where the wind is coming from is more important than where it is going; since the source effects temperature...

For Alex V Kozlov:

Thanks. You are the first Wincustomize Subscriber from Russia which I have heared during the last two years! Honestly I am very happy!

If you will have a desire write me by E-mail please because I begin to forget Russian language ...

For Dan Dunn:

I seem if the wind name is "North" this means that it blows from North to South. The arrow indicates at the same direction and I dont understand why this dirrection is wrong... So I'll add the function to change the arrow direction to the next version.

For Maj_Kusanagi:

Hi, very sorry but I have no any ideas about your problem yet...
