Hey just wondering on the progress of the new media player, and that desktop you were talking about.

To jlaj1989:

Hi Jerry! I already finished more than 70% scripts for Media Player. It will be very complex player with a lot of useful functions like Winamp (with media library browsing, advanced media searcher, ID3 tags and playlists editor etc...). So wait some time please and you will the first who will see it. Promise.

About desktop: Sorry but I have no time to work with this yet...

Hey Vad - How do I add the location Yangon, Myanmar, Asia? (or it's closest neighbor?) And what is the source of this weather? love this btw!

To burmafrost:

It's very easy. You need right click on a "Get Weather" button and enter the "Yangon" or "Yandon, Burma" into input box. Then press "ok".

I tried to find Myanmar but have not found nothing. Sorry...

The Weather Lab receives the weather forecast from a several sources. For example you can see a lot of locations here: http://www.weather.com/common/drilldown/world.html

Best Regards.

You don't even need the Weatherman with this thing around and that means you don't have to listen to the commercials either! This is really great, the best weather widget out there bar none! This one will be on my desktop for a long time to come!

how about changing the way the extended forecast window comes out .. give it the option to extend up from the widget so it can be positioned lower in the screen

Is it possable to add different color schemes? I am looking for a more darker color such as black. Of course, not so black you can't read andything, more like a smoke blach i guess you could say.

Excellent widget! It is now my new desktop weather utility. Is there and easy way to switch back and forth between your alternate "in the location" weather location and your home location without having it download the weather every time? Do you perhaps have a key shortcut for doing this? Or maybe, just a mouse click on the home local time will give you the local stuff and the in the location time will give you the alternate information?

To all:
Hi friends! Big thanks! And I'm very sorry for the delay with my answer...

To vampireUK:
You are really right! I didn't thimk about because I never moved this tool to the bottom of my desktop! Hmmm... Try to add this in the next version.

To Darkmnm: I must create a black cat in a dark room? Ok. I'll think how do this!.

To gmknobl: There are no easy ways to do this. But there are no a difficult ways too. Only that I need - a little part of free time... Hope that I'll found it much soon.

Another comment about your weather widget and one perhaps that you can fix more easily. The dial on the barometer doesn't ever move, unlike the wind direction dial. It appears to have markings for pressures for this. Is there a way you can get this to happen? Is there some setting I'm missing that the dial will work on? Perhaps if I change from Inches Mercury to something else?

Great widget, found a few problems though. I changed my home to Portsmouth, UK but it kept my PC time, Canadian Eastern. My question is how can I set my home as Cobourg, Canada, display the weather for Cobourg, Canada and also display Portsmouth, UK with the appropriate time e.g. Cobourg, displys 5 pm with weather, Portsmouth displays 10 pm

Extremely great widget! It works excellent & is very informative. The animations & sound effects are also a nice bonus.

I really like this widget, thank you! The "wind direction" fix was and is appreciated.

I have a new "problem" that seems to have developed in the latest version: all the icons disappear after running a while. That is the wind direction, barometer, the hourly conditions icons (under 36 hour forecast), the up-arrow in the lower center when the bottom is expanded, and the 10-day weather forecast icons.

Quitting the widget and restarting it fixes this problem...

This doesn't happen every day, maybe 4 times a week.

I hope you can fix this - then it'll be perfect!

Thanks again.

I've now got a weird problem. I don't know if it's my system or your widget or desktopx.

Somehow, the widget has disappeared but it is still running. It's almost like it's been moved off the screen. I can't get it to reappear. If I quit and reload it, it still does not appear. I can hear it getting the weather info and see the icon in the tray but I don't know where the thing is.

Is there some easy fix for this?

I've tried deleting the widget cache and deleting the temp files I (think I've) found for desktopx but to no avail. Any help appreciated at all! Email me at gmknobl at vt.edu
