145 downloads and only 2 comments, that's poor. Saying thank you is more than good manners. It's good spirituality. So I'd like to say thank you for all those that can't be bothered to leave a comment. I really love this. The animation is great and not over done. I would of liked to see the clouds moving but it's really good anyway. I'm looking forward to see your next one as these just keep getting better. You rock dude

I actualy was thinking about animiating a waterfall painting, but you beat me too it! This is pretty good. Fix up the water at the bottom of the falls, and work on the loop so it doesn't skip and this will be great! Try to trim the end of the video until you find a frame that looks like the first.

I wasn't really prone to install this dream as it looked like it belongs more to an old style wood frame than a computer screen...

Boy, I was wrong...

Amazing drawing itself, BEAUTIFUL colors and the water flowing doesn't disturb or looks too fake...It actually gives the whole painting a sort of quietness...

Keep the good job...impressive.

P.S. 2 suggestions that I think would make this dream even better.

1) Try to elevate the smoke coming out of the chimney. Normally it's a bit higher and fatter.

2) I think it would be awesome if you could make the transaction from day to night and back. You could use the moon to light up the scene with cool refraction on the waters and the sky.

Oh, last but not least, a deer or something like it would make an excellent addiction to the picture...

Congrats again.

It's nice, It reminds me of one of those back light animated paintings in the Chinese shop at the Mall.

25% CPU not to good though.

Good work

Thanks folks for all the kind remarks.

I have a new version that is even better because it has been changed ti give the feel of spring time. Watch out for it, this will really set the focus on spring also I will be submitting the screen saver version I have worked on and I will be submitting it also. Icons dissapear for the saver but the water smoke and ripples still roles with nothing but the back ground.

Thanks again

I agree with one of the comments about it looking like a backlit animated painting. Subtle to a fault I think but an impressive dream nonetheless.

This is indeed one of the best dreams I've seen so far. However, the mere size of it and the amount of fine details seem to be the reason why it's eating 25% CPU. How about offering a 1280X1024 version for the majority of us that don't have humongous screens?
