Every Presidents Day Weekend I make my annual pilgrimage to the Palm Beach Art, Jewelry & Antiques Show, where I spend a good part of the day obsessing over the magnificent paintings of the Scottish Highlands by Alfred de Breanski Jr & Sr and those very few others who are able to render that magical quality of light. Never in a million years did I think that (1) someone would make one of those paintings come alive and (2) that I could have it on my desktop (and therefore also on my flat screen HD TV) but here it is, and just in time for this year's show. It occurs to me that if I were to mount the TV on the wall inside a fabulous frame similar to those used on the real-life paintings, I would have something people pay upwards of $100,000 for but mine would be ALIVE. What an astounding thought.

This beauty now graces my desktop with RedneckDude's Hardwood WindowBlind and AceMatrix's Everwood Icons. Absolutely sublime.

There should be one of these with a 10

Yeah, but you should see the double-takes this gets when people see it. Using fine art and Old Masters paintings as desktop wallpaper, yes - but no one has ever seen traditional masters' fine art in an animated desktop before. Add beautifully-suited blinds, icons, cursors & accessories (additional-app skins & gadgets) to make a completely dressed system and the jaws just drop.
