How many icons? Could you show a more comprehensive preview in the future? Cursors included or not? The more details you can give in preview and "more details page," the more we can ascertain whether it's worth checking out, since many of us use combinations of IP and cursor packs, etc., all of which have to be reapplied should we not like this one. Jusy my $0.02 worth. Thanks for the posting and upload, though. That's very nice of you.

spinbaba, hi.
I don't think a comprehensive preview of 1500 icons is going to be a reasonable picture. *chuckling* Of course, I'm not sure yet if the whole set of Manhattan's Buuf set are here or not. Either way though, I bet its still too many to preview. To see info about the Buuf package here's a QwkLink to Manhattan's DeviantArt page.Link

All that aside, it IS a really nice set.

Yes! I was hesitant, as the preview was sparse, but so fascinated by the concept, I had to dl it and run the pack thru IP 3. It all installed and ran flawlessly. For free. In the IP preview pane there's really original icons for everything. Lots of work and it shows. Thanks, rgerrans and Mattahan. These are very nice. Five of five stars to you.

Thanks for the nice feedback, but all credit should go to Mattahan Link since all I did was apply his great icons inside of IP. Sorry for the sparse screen shot, I was just trying to get something up so other fans of Buuf didn't have to spend the time building their own. Thanks to seldomseen for the heads up on the preview feature, and here is a more comprehensive screenshot.

Out of curiosity, how does this set differ from the "Buuf" set packaged by IPHOLIO? http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/38097142/

Other than the obvious, his set isn't uploaded here. From the filesize of your set, it looks comparatively smaller.

Thanks for putting this together.

Anybody else having trouble with IconPackager not properly changing internet shortcuts? They still display the explorer's 'e' icon. (It happens with other icon packager themes, too.) Very frustrating. Local .htm files are properly substituted, but the internet shortcuts are not. Doesn't matter if they are made by Firefox or by Internet Explorer or by creating a new shortcut from the right-click menu -- They are all the sucky Explorer 'e' icon!

I'd appreciate any help. Thanks!

JourneyMan,

Different choices in use of icons (there are over 1,500 to choose from). There are actually 3 or 4 now on DeviantArt each with a different take on which Icons to apply. Like I said earlier, the kudo's go to Mattahan who actually created the icons, not those of us who just use them and share our choices of which icons we think should be used.

Hey...just curious, is this set different at all from the set I submitted to deviantART?

Ipholio,

I tried yours but didn't like a lot of the choices you made so started over and built a new one (which I first posted on deviantART as well and then posted here). Given a lot of Mattahan's one-to-one mappings there is probably quite a bit of overlap and quite a bit of unique (though I never did a side by side comparison).

I must have installed more Mattahan icon sets than any other... various machines over the years. What ever happenned to him? I haven't seen a new icon set in ages. Shame because in my opinion, he has one of the most outstanding styles ever. Wonderful imagination and perfect execution.
