The preview looks great, but when I download and install the package, I just get blank icons in IP.

I have this problem, too. When I install in Vista the icons don't display, however they display properly in XP.

I love the look of these from the preview, but I'm in the same boat as several above: I get blanks when I install it in Vista...

I think it has the wrong 256 format for vista!

Works for me in vista, you need to go to icon explorer and bring up the 256 icons and install manually

Please explain how to use icon explorer to install this collection in Vista. I can open it and view the icons in icon explorer, but I don't see how to install them.

I am having a similar problem as those with Vista except I am using XP. When I load the iconpackage, the icons on the desktop do not appear; I get the default Windows icon for an unknown file type. The icons appear properly on the start menu but not the desktop.

Go to icon packager, doubleclick on the aluminum package, open icon explorer, you should see the aluminum.icl file, doouble click on it...now in the upper right corner of the window you will see a box titled "format", click tyhe arrow and you should see all the sizes available, i just clicked the 256 xp file...once it is open go to "file, save as and save it to icon packager themes.

This worked for me, I don't know why it did but it did.

Hope this helps.

The preview shows such beautiful icons.....fabulous indeed. I can download the package and install it but I cannot see the package in the IconPackager selection window. However, In Windows Explorer I can see that the package has been installed in the IP Themes folder. Help needed please.

(I have had his problem with the previously downloaded icon package also)

For Vista users, here is what I did.

Step1:
First of all follow instructions from comment number 14 by _Tapper_, and save your Icon library to some other location as Alumunium.icl - let us assume it c:\temp\Aluminium.icl)

Step 2:
Open the original Iconpackager Theme (file with .ip extension) using Winrar (or Winzip) and extract the file 'Aluminium.iconpackage' to c:\Temp. After this step you should have the two files in c:\temp folder.

Step 3:
Using WinRar (or Winzip) create a zip file using the two files (Aluminium.iconpackage and Aluminium.icl) and call it something like Temp.zip.

Step 4:
Rename Temp.zip to Temp.ip and voila - you have your new IconPackager theme.

Package has the wrong 256 formats for vista. Some icons have 255x255 instead of 256. The package needs to be rebuilt with a proper icon program with vista 256 for mats for those icons. 256 xp does not do the same and is not the same format as vista.

Needs work~!
