First off, let me say, I don't usually download packs with just a few icons for the preview. Always makes me think, what are they hiding? Are they that bad?
But I did download Alpha 1 and was surprised. Not bad at all.
Second, if you're going to do color variations, you might think about bundling them together. With Iconpackager, you are now able to do it. Just something to think about.

Thanks for the advice Z71, I thought about doing sub-packages with the SE Interface icons, but the file size turned out to 20-30mb, but if people dont mind the large file sizes then i agree it would better...hehe glad you took a chance an took em for a test drive, i thought if i just show a few icons, people would be curious enough to go "hmm whats the rest like" or something like that..anywho, thanks again for the advice��

Really nice job on these.
As for the color, I'd have to say something that matches the Sirus master skin. These icons go very well with it, and with that shade of Blue/Green it'll be perfect.

One wish for both packs : Could You go for a more neutral internet icon for us Firefox users ? 
And more office-filetypes would be great (PPoint, Access, ...)

About the color choice: really difficult... I would either go with the Vista integration idea or a glossy-white with bright blue/cyan glows. You just had to say one more.
About the file size. Yes, I would LOVE a more complete set regardless of file size. Anyone to support me in this?
