This could be the start of a good thing. I'd like to see some overlays for regular Windows icons. I use the Windows stock exclamation point in a cartoon dialogue balloon icon for an important custom file, and when I get the time, I plan to make one of these almost completely transparent, overlay it onto the dialogue balloon, and then put a shadow behind the "i" to fade the overlay completely out. This will instantly tell me that I'm dealing with my special custom file rather than whatever it is that Windows does with that way-cool icon.
