In the States the Capri was sold under the Mercury badge, but when it was originally introduced it was an import of a German built Ford and it was a great running car. However as time went on Ford stopped importing the European model and simply took the Mustang and slapped different front and rear skins on the bumpers.
But the European Capri remains one of the great sport coupes of all times and without question was an amazing vehicle in the early and mid 1970's when they brought them to the US.
