Yep, that is a squirrel. Chipmunks are way smaller, about the size of a hampster.

I stand corrected, after some research I found that this is indeed a golden mantled squirrel often mistaken for a chipmunk, I also found that the chipmunk of which there are 5 different varieties in Colorado are actually in the squirrel family, Thanks guys for pointing this out
