Very nice.

I'd like to see a 1600x1200 and a 1024x768 version though.
Thank you for your efforts.

Yeah....I'd like to see a 1024 x 768 as well.....and with out the $10 charge you're charging for offering to customize it. You should include that info in your description that you're charging for customizing for ppl. Think you should just join PixStudio and charge instead of posting for free.

I originally made this logon for myself and decided I wanted to share it so I uploaded it. I am always working as I have a web e-commerce business and cannot afford to make free customizations. Yes, there is a $10 charge for customization and I did not include this in the description because I did not want it to seem like an advertisement as I am only freely sharing my work with everyone else.

I do lots of things because I'm a nice guy. I run a business to. I don't charge people for things that I do on my spare time unless it's directly related to my company.

Anyways...I'm not going to fuss over this anymore. Do what you want. Still, this a very nice login screen, but personally...charging $10 is stupid. I've come across many other skinners that do custom work for nothing. If you want to charge for customizing the screen like putting in the person's name, maybe $1 would be better...after all...as a graphics designer, we both know this only takes a couple of minutes to do.

I disagree, I think $10.00 is reasonable. I'm on a 56K modem and the whole process of changing the graphic, exporting the file, and emailing it takes upwards of half an hour. As a graphic designer you should also note rates these days are at least 40$/hour (billable time, not thought process). Also, I have recieved 17 emails today asking for customization, that's a lot of minutes! Moreover, if you were a graphic designer, you should have no problem going into the editor and changing it yourself.

I will give you credit for putting together this logon screen, its good. Get your work noticed here, in the right way. Take the example of many of the top skinners here, get your work notice and built up a fan base.

I was looking through the older submissions and came across this as it wassomething I was going to use for a friend. I was all set to download and ask you for a customized version until......I read the comments.

You want to charge me $10 for something that should not take 30min to do even on dialup?

'Cmon now be real. You're a bright young guy and should be able to figure out that since you have some talent at this, you should 'give the first one away for free' and THEN chage when the people who like your work come back wanting more.

You give me(and others) no chice but to either live with looking at your name and date of birth every time we boot our PC's....or to find other alternative ways of changing your logon file.

I'm sorry that I cant download this as yours is one of the best ST/LCARS logon themes out there....

I no longer offer customization at any price. To people like "Agent L", try making your own logon, you'll see how much of a pain in the butt it is to change even just one little image, zip it up and sent it out. My name is there as an Author's credit signature, that's all.

I simply did this for fun - I have no other ulterior motives.

HOWEVER!!! The good news is I am planning on doing a re-make of this logon making it more accurate to the actual Trek standby screens with better colors etc (like the one in Nemesis).

In the new zip, I will include the logon, the FONT, used for the text, possibly lcars logon/logoff sounds, AND compatibility for 1024x768 because I know so many of you out there were disappointed - all for FREE!

let me get this straight. You're charging $10 for an edit, but you dont mind others doing it for themselves?
Ok, fair enough. As you can see by my screenname, I'm a trek fan. The logon looks cool, even on a 1280 by 800 laptop screen.
Great effort mate.

Guys, having been working on graphic designs for months for websites, I applaud this gentlemans work, and $10 is not that much to ask, as it enables him to do more work like this for you later cause it's worthwhile, and he has the talent. Bear that in mind.
