Is this in the right category? I thought this gallery was for LogonStudio skins, whereas this is a replacement EXE for LogonUI. Just checking...

Pretty sure this isn't in the right section as its a logonui.exe file not ment for use with logonStudio - can the author convert this to a compatible logonstudio theme please

Looks like a beautiful logon - the blue is rich and it looks finely crafted but, sorry, the days are long gone, after win 98, of manipulating files and Registry to install a logon screen. Another thing to remember is that some are reluctant to edit the Registry. Actually that's what stopped me. Not that I don't manipulate the Registry but when your asked to change the name of the famous 'logonui' you stop.
In the long run it's too much unnecessary hassle which is too bad, I know.

I totally agree David. I think this theme is only for the most daring of people who like to hack into the setting in their registry. I dont understand why this logon is allowed in here as this logon is not for use with logonstudio - which will cause confusion for some. The author has done a great job on the logon its a nice logon to use its quite restful. I hope he decides to convert this into logonstudio so that more poeple will be willing to try it out. I notice this is a none standard logonui.exe file seems to have been compressed using an exe compressor.

The only time that I touch the registry is when I am purging files and excess junk that has accumulated.
The point of Logon Studio is to make changing logon screens easy. This missed the boat on that one for sure.

Logon Studio changes the regisrry here is what it does.
You load the theme and you apply it, it just compiles a logonui.exe and names in logonui_X.exe and changes the value in
hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\windows nt\currentversion\winlogon
value uihost from logonui.exe to logonui_X.exe
I found that logonstudio makes buggy logons becuase it is not well made. I am going to try to convert this logon over though

Alright i will convert it over, but i am gonna warn you. It is not gonna be bug free, because of logon studio.

i cant open the msi
it give's an error at the end
