OK, I'm entirely new at Object dock. I've downloaded this but what do I do with the files? Where do I download them to and how do I get the dock to adopt this theme?? HELP!

OK, lemme get this straight... when you download a dockette or a theme or an icon, you have to identify which is which and separate them into their respective folders in order for the changes to work? Can't be right. I've downloaded this into themes, backgrounds have copied the ini file to various locations and still cant get it to work.

The instructions are so vague and assume you know what the terms all mean and what the difference is between these desiparate elements.

Ugh...

tarinuk ... all the contents of the zip should be extracted to the ObjectDock\Backgrounds folders. Then you open the Dock Properties dialog > Appearance > and select it from the Background list. NOTE: tabbed docks are for ObjectDockPlus.

Hey neo... no I guess I missed Webgizmo's docks. Interesting how much our interpretations differ.

I have to speak out!

Y'know I've been skinning with Stardock's stuff for three years now and it amazes me that the firm behind some of the most complicated skinning apps in the world hasn't moseyed off its hind to create some sort of a manual. Heck, a PDF, a BMP... ANYTHING?

Don't get me wrong, I love this stuff... it's just that when you want to do something neat with one of these applications it takes months to figure out the basics. Desktop-X took me at least 3 months before it all made sense. I still have no idea what Rainlender is for and zoomers and tabbed docks... STREWTH!!!

You don't ask a consumer to go into a cellphone shop and buy the latest SIP WLAN handset without instructions do you?

C'mon guys, my time's valuable. WRITE AN INSTRUCTION BOOK.

Oh and for the chaps who've written back, cheers guys.

For what it's worth, I prefer your interpretation.
