they are nice but i cant use them they are not showing up as a usable form of icon

This icon is fantastic except for a minor glitch. With the full alpha transparency, if the mouse pointer is over a blank spot, the animation either stops short or doesn't animate at all. I'd suggest adding an atmospheric effect around the portals that extends up the middle with a low alpha value but something greater then zero so it's not interpreted as blank desktop space. That would allow it to animate properly.
