I tried animating the wings on this one and was having trouble getting both to work, but I'll tinker with 'em in my free time. Send me an pic of the Outlook 2003 icon. I'm not promising anything, but I'll see what I can do.

Just a suggestion, but I think more people would be able to use your work if you included an animated, and a normal icon.

Thanks for the advice horiz0n. I probably will from now on since it'd be so simple to do. Although my goal is actually to become proficient in 3dsmax(and to make a dancing rubber chicken animated icon)

I guess I didn't give you that good of point in the right direction then.

I wouldn't say that. You stressing the importance of materials resulted in me no longer using swift3d to create the animation frames since the exported 3ds file wouldn't include it. Since I started using max to do the animation I've learned a lot more about the other features as well. Your advice may have been pretty basic; however, I'd be looking for ways to improve in the complete opposite direction. Considering the first time I used 3dsmax was the beginning of Dec. 2003 (not even 2 months ago) and when you take into consideration that I've never taken a tutorial ... I'd have to say that it definately helped get me to where I'm at so far

So my question is: why don't you ever make any animated icon? If you ever decide to a dancing rubber chicken would be a great one to start with
