Just a suggestion, but I think your outta try and make it look like the claw is actually holding the icons instead of them just being on top. You can do overlays with the backgrounds so it might be worth a try

Maybe theres some way to make the foreground image in the tile itself, and not the icon.

look in your dock properties for background called "foreground example" it comes with od so it should be there, it'll probably help you out on getting it done.

Thanks horizon, I know how to use foregrounds but I would like to know how to tile them the same way the backgrounds are tiled...
