how about a control panels pop-up menu? and a printers pop-up would be great too...

Ah yes. Good idea. I also added "Monitor Power Save", and will upload a new version once I get a few more things in there. I will look into the control panel/printers thing tonight.

Great job! How about adding show desktop and windows explorer?

Well, "show desktop" has been added. It functions just like the the shortcut in the quick launch bar. I don't think windows explorer is worthwhile because you can set up a normal shortcut to do that. I'm thinking of a "show directory in popup", that will display a selected diretory's contents in a popup menu, though.

Anyway the user can configure the list? For example, I would prefer only having "Stand By" and "Show Desktop". It would be great if we can enable only the ones we want and order them the way we want.

Ah, I can see that being useful. When I first decided to make this I envisioned users having multiple docklets running for the various tasts, so I didn't think too much about custamizability of the choices, etc. However, it occured to me after a hew hours of using it that even I don't keep multiple docklets around for the different actions, I simply right click and choose the one I want to perform and then left click and do it. Maybe I should change the way the docklets works altogether. Perhaps an option that would allow users to buld a pop up menu that would display on left clicking, that would allow them to perform an action, this could be in edition to the default behavior. Thanks for the idea.

I don't think the Show Desktop works as well as the standard Quick Launch one. For example, try running the Show Desktop when you have an app open that has an open modal dialog box that can't be minimized. Everything except that will minimize, whereas the Quick Launch will actually show you the desktop.

"Show Desktop" brings the syslistview with all the desktop icons to the foreground.
"Minimize all" temporarly hides all windows at P(-32000, - 32000).

Well I guess I'll have to fix that then. Right now I'm using the MinimizeAll COM method exported by the Shell interface (IShellDispatch), and the documentation seemed to imply that it works just like show desktop does. Remind me to only take the docs worth a grain of salt. I'll look up what AndreasV said and see if I can make it work as well as ShowDesktop.

A simple trick is to emulate the key-combo for the "show desktop"-command: WINKEY+D.

WINKEY = WINDOWS-KEY

Yes, that is probably what I will do instead (unless I can find a cleaner way to do it, considering applications can hook WIN+D). While your attention is here... how did you find the window of the start menu so you could move it. I notice that you set a hook... are you hooking the SC_TASKLIST message (or whatever one it is that shows the start menu)?

Nice Docklet. It is soon to replace my start menu docklet. The only thing I wish it had was eject/unplug a device. I HATE having to bring up my task tray just to remove my MuVo.

A "Switch User" option would be very much appreciated, or at least a log off dialog
