network, and, as any open source, there's a huge community of programmers releasing mods and
discussing their progress in forums like SourceForge, the main open source community. Some
mods focus on better bandwidth handling, others in security and contermeasures against
leechers and so. Roughly, there's 2 kinds of mods: eMule .30 based and eMule .41 (kamdelia)
based, this last one uses at the same time an experimental Overnet network codenamed
Kamdelia, which basically doesn't need servers thought it's in early stages of development
and it's only being used by thousands instead of millions using the ed2k network, it's very
helpful for sources lookup. MorphXT is a kamdelia-based eMule mod which uses both networks
at the same time. Though are in german, you can visit www.emule-mods.de and www.kademlia-
mods.de to get the idea...
