(All icons i'll talk about are 128x128 png with trans or shadows)
I've done it for him, as i liked it too
Added a real transparent shadow, Added real trans reflect too (kept reflect from the preview), added Real transparence too into the icons itself, only ultra thin edges, top and bottom, circle icon, 3ds max words, are 100%... All rest is translucent..
(Sorry for my average english)
I Added too in my pack a few icons i did because i needed these: Emuloader icon (original logo was already from me), Illustrator icon (copied on the known photoshop one), A Flash icon, A trillian icon (redone the original one in high quality), a power off icon (needed one for syscmd)
