For the people who are having problems. Do you have a file named docklet.ini in your DigitalClock directory? If not try downloading it again and make sure you have at least DigitalClock.dll and docklets.ini in your DigitalClock directory.

ok, i redownloaded it because for some reason i didn't notice that .ini file... either way, now when i even try to add '.net docklet' to my objectdock, it completely crashes right away. so that fixed the problem where the docklet wasn't showing up in that list before, because when i tried to put the folder "digitalclock" in the main docklets folder, instead in the subdirectory of "dotnetdocklets" it would do the same thing, crash. so that fixed a problem that i haven't had the privlege of experiencing! i guess that's progress, now why is OD+ crashing? i'll be the guinea pig, i don't care, i wanna help you out, figure out what the issue is, and most importantly get this workin on my comp!

Did you overwrite digitalclock.dll? Make sure the last modified date is 04/05/2005.

ok, i FINALLY got somewhere. so you were right, the file was the old 11/03 file. i replaced it w/the '05 .dll file, and now i have other issues. it does show up in the .net docklets section, and when i enabled it, i thought it didn't work. but it did! the only problem is i can't see it at all! i have it fully transparent, and a the background is dark, and the txt is black, so yea that doesn't work. is there a way to put a background behind this docklet? also, i'm having a serious issue with it. when i move my mouse over objectdock, it doesn't zoom anymore. it just locks on the item that was zoomed in, seemingly locks up. i move my mouse off of objectdock, and it lags a bit and goes away. i move my mouse back to objectdock, it zooms in on that icon i was on, but i still can't move about and zoom other icons, again seemingly locked up. i want to try to describe it as best i can, i'm sorry i'm being annoying but i'd like to help you out and get this to work! thanks!

EDIT/UPDATE:
ok... so i messed around w/it some more, and it's not doing that problem above anymore. i don't know what caused the problem, and i don't know what solved it... i edited the #'s so they're white, but i didn't do anything else other than shut down and restart OD+ a lot. so... we'll see if it does it anymore or not. i would really like to put a background in there, and i can't figure out how to do it. is it possible? thanks!

Unfortunately there isn't anyway to set a background color/image for the numbers. I remember having some issues with this when I developed it and so I decided to not support it. I'm glad you got it working and if I get any spare time I might open up the code and see if there is any easy way to support a background color/image.

Sadly I can't get this to work either. I'll come back in a few days and see if somebody hasn't figured it out yet

and here it is 2007. and this wonderfull docklet still doesn't work. ah well.

BUT!!!!!

I say forget this docklet! Why?........ Because you can already do it . Just make a small dock for your time and place THREE "simple digital clock"'s in it. Make the first one only display hours (h). the second does minutes (m). the third does AM/PM(tt).

You can now change the font size to fit the size of your dock easy. as well as change colors and the font itself All built right in to the default digital clock! No .net needed.

To those not seeing this docklet listed under "Add": You must download the DotNetDocklet Runtime DLL and put it in Docklets\DotNetDocklets... it will show up in your add list as New ".Net" Docklet. Once you add it, you click on it to select which .Net Docklet you want it to display.

I have all but .net version 4.0 installed and nothing shows up in the .net docklets list.  Everything was done as per the provided readme instructions.

I had a loading problem earlier after I tried to install this on a clean copy pc (windows xp). I would add the docklet and then try to load the .net digital clock by clicking on the yellow lightning icon.

You probably only need the first version of .Net framework. Go to the windows update site under optional updates to get a version. Follow the OP's directions but after you add the docklet, don't click the yellow lightning icon. Secondary click it (for most people it's right click). There should be two options, Docklets and Configure. Choose Docklets with arrow and then select .Net Digital Clock. That should give you the digital clock. Configure as you wish. Hope that helps.
