I think I remember having seen this kind of album art storage with Samurize. Should be no problem to implement; however there needs to be a consistent naming convention like:
(search order)
what do you think?

I'll see to it. However I'm a bit busy these days - I beg your pardon.

I am delighted that you may implement the change regarding album art in other folders. I would happily use a standard naming convention. I would probably go with [location]"\"[artist]" - "[album].[bmp|jpg|jpeg|png], just in case 2 or more bands use the same album name. I have a very few free iTunes store tracks, and it looks so cool when the art comes up on the docklet. I look forward to seeing them for my mp3s, too. Thanks!
Since I have so few songs with art, I noticed one other minor issue. It doesn't clear the image when a song is over. If the next song(s) don't have album art, the last art found stays up for the rest of the session.

Same exact problem here..
Otherwise a wonderful docklet! -- I just wish this was working because it makes the album art feature useless
