I absolutely love this docklet. I've not experienced any problems so far. I like the graphics, but it would be nice if you could change the size of the album art so that the image is not cut off (currently it is a square--including the spine/progress indicator, which causes part of the album art to be obscured). Other than that minor suggestion, this docklet appears to be perfect.

Thanks for the comment, j_dott. You are absolutely right about that the image is cut off. While I was convinced that this is how it should be because I thought the jewelcase image is perfect square I didn't want to squeeze neither it nor the artwork image. Now that you've raised the issue I looked again and it turns out the jewelcase is actually properly not a square. It's been now fixed but it may take a few more days until the updated version shows up.
Speaking of the jewelcase image - I've just realized it's the same one that judge is using in his iTunes docklet, and he is giving credit to a guy called brainbug for it. Since I didn't know that when I was writing the readme, here it goes: Thanks brainbug, hope you don't mind me using the image, and if you do - please let me know.

I'm glad you like it, Mahmoud. And thank you for the kind words. That's much more than I could've hoped for. That said, feel free to report bugs and problems if and when you find some, too

Thanks for the tip-off irvinchen. Truth be told I don't even have East-Asian fonts installed on any of my machines. The docklet is wide-character set only (which means it shouldn't have such problems) but having never tested this that could be expected. What I'm really curious about is this: do you see kanji&kana properly displayed as labels (the big white writings that appear when you hover your mouse over the dock) for _other_ docklets and dock items? Technically, in the provided Docklet SDK the function for setting docklet label accepts only plain 8bit characters, not wide characters (what is needed for asian fonts), so I'm not sure if it's even possible. But if it is - I'll do it.
Update: That's been verified. I'm sorry but it seems we're out of luck with this one - docklet labels cannot be wide-character. The ObjectDock API does not provide wide-character support. Normal windows which appear in a dock as running tasks can have wide-characters, but that's handled internally by ObjectDock. However _docklets_ as external entities are not afforded such luxory.
On the other hand the scrolling text below the jewelcase shows asian characters just fine. Are you having problem with that too?

Hi all,
this is very good docklet, one of my best. But I have problem on My Notebook (desktop is OK). My notebook not have mouse wheel, and I have problem to easy control iTunes.
Can I control iTunes with this docklet without mouse wheel? For example replace/add fnc to control with PGUP/PGDOWN or UP/DOWN (Mouse Click and pressing Up or Down keys).
Thanks.

PS: sorry fo my english

Hi sk salko,

Sure, that's a good idea. Check back tomorrow since I'm too tired to do it now.

Big thank, this is cool controling.
I have only small idea, this is current controls:
- volume up is with key A (or wheel Up)
- rating up is with key A (or wheel Up)
- but next song is key Z (or wheel Down)
My idea is:
- volume Up -> key Z or wheel Down
- volume Down -> key A or wheel Up
- rating Up -> key Z or wheel Down
- rating Down -> key A or wheel Up
- next song -> key Z or wheel Down (as now)
- previous song -> key A or wheel Up (as now)
- missing "emulation" key for play/pause
Or something easy settings ini file to user definable controls.
This is only my idea.
Repeat: this docklet is very very cool.

To my previous post, controling keys are ok, my solution to change controls is not good. I confused only from VolumeUp=WheelUp, RatingUp=WheelUp, NextSong=WheelDown.
Click with Shift is functionaly, sorry to text 'missing "emulation" key for play/pause'. I must more reading release notes, more try, and less writting.

Awsome docklet, thank you so much for keeping it free

One question:
is it possible to change the icon? (when iTunes is not loaded)

Cheers

Thanks guys Glad you like it.

carlosluz: Unfortunately not at this point. I just don't have the time it would take to add proper configuration options, quite frankly. But if the current one is hurting your eyes too much - send me over the icon you would like to have instead and I'll compile the docklet with it just for you.

I know it's been a while since you released this docklet. But I just discovered it. Awesome!!! This is exactly what I was looking for without even knowing it! Love it!!
