I like to add the 2008 original comments lost during the reupload (btw the docks preview is not more the old one):

I actually like these, I thought it would look tacky but it looks great! some form of separators would be nice though.

Wow. This is a very cool idea.

Thanks johntheconprend, it's very kind your way to say: "improve the preview"! I'll try to spend more time on the preview AW never aspect a messiah1 similar one (messiah1 is the master skinner I most admire) BTW you can always use the "add" separator option in the right click menu, to have a better look of the background try this way: add 1 separator (space)in the first place of the dock + 1 in the last place !!

Thanks a lot DonDodds, this idea will have a follow-up with my dockbackgrounds upcoming skins !!

I like that idea! I know that there are separators but they're transparent. I was talking about an actual image for the separators like most backgrounds. I'll see if I can come up with something and get back to you and see what you think.

great idea john... something similar to your "indicators" !?
BTW this is to quote the "docks previews" written by messiah1 in the Forum on my request:
<< Frankell, What I do is this: I have 4 docks on my screen at any one time. The zoomer at the top, the tabbed dock at the bottom and the singel tabs, either left or right.
I will usually take a screenshot of the zoomer in action and at least one tabbed dock showing (click on the actual tabbed dock and it will stay put, then mouseover the zoomer). Then, I might change the background of one of the docks and move it somewhere else on the screen, take another screenshot etc. It is important to note, you must take an ENTIRE screenshot, meaning from the upper left corner all the way to the bottom right corner. When you have your shots, open your graphics program and open one of them. Then just import the others into that and line them up at the upper left hand corner.
Once that’s done, remove what you don’t want by deleting it. If you took good, same size screenshots, the background (wallpaper) should always be lined up and it will look like one “desktop”. Sometimes I’ll put in 128x128 versions of the tiles and actual size version of the zoomers somewhere on the canvas. Then, I just add my signature and the name of the docks and viola!, a wicked looking preview. If there is a genuine interest in a graphic tutorial on this subject, I'd be happy to do one. I'll post it at the wiki. >>
