Thanks for the large clock and top procesor skins!  I turned off sidebar in expectation of tne new processor meters.  

Clicking the rmskin file did not install the new skin although it appeared to run the normal process of installing it.  I had to rename it to zip and copy the contents manually. Without doing, that I still had only Cobolt 2.3 skins.

I've fixed the problem with the plugin directory names, however this makes the installer crash, I'm waiting for some help at the Rainmeter forums to resolve this.

Ok, in the meantime I got it working by manually installing the dll and other items myself.  I have to restore a line of code I had added to the older processor.ini, whereby I could get to the task manager by clicking on the processor name.  I also want to diff the small and large clock skins to see how you made it larger as all my attempts failed, some of the comically.  For example, I managed to increas the 9-12 quarter of the clock only. Looked like someone was removing a slice of pie.

gevansmd - Windows Control skin has a TaskManger launcher already, if you don't wish to use it, the code is easily understood.  As for how to resize the clock,  I gave an example editing the VARIABLE section.  You can see it on the second page of comments on release 2.3.  Have a look here to better understand the variables to adjust and their effects.

Thanks, I'm using the Windows Control skin now.  In fact I stole the code from it to use in the processor.ini when I wasn't using the WC.  I'll probably just leave it at that for now, I don't really need it in two places.  

I downloaded and reinstalled the rmskin and everything worked perfectly this time.  

I just compared the CPU usage %s and memory against what the task manager is showing and they don't match.  The rainmeter skin is always higher, somethines significantly, on both CPU and memory.

In the snapshot, look at the CPU% for Explorer.  Task Managers shows 7% and Rainmeter shows 15.3%.  Memory usage is similarly skewed.  Also, overall CPU usage shows 54% in TM and 48% in Rainmeter even though individual program stats are higher in Rainmeter.  Are you using a system call to poll the numbers.

Looks like you'll have to click on the image and open it in a new tab to see the meters.  It's cropped away in the preview image.

This is the scale in [MeterTopProcess]  which uses AdvancedCPU.dll is set wrong and is multiplying the results.  I will add some comments to clarify this in future versions  here are some typical values:

Scale=200000 for a modern Dual core

Scale=400000 for a core I7

My ancient Quad core needs the latter...

TopProcess.dll seems to be doubling on my system, but does not appear support scaling.  I'll investigate further.

I have a 3 year old Quad code Phenom in my hand-built desktop. Where in the .ini file is Scale defined?  It's not in the source for the Processor & 5...Toggle.ini.  

Only "Processor Top Process.ini" uses AdvancedCPU.dll plugin which this is the fix for, the original skin (Processor.ini) does not use it at all, all the other variants use TopProcess.dll which give multiple processes.

I am waiting for an answer for this from the plugins author.

I also think you are approaching the point where you start writing your own skins , this would be easier to dicuss & fix over at the Rainmeter forums.

I've been thinking about making my own rainmeter.   The coding doesn't worry me, but I don't yet have an idea for the look of the skins.  I've been learning a little about the coding the same way I learned HTML many years ago, by looking at source code writte by others.

The TopProcess.dll author has very kindly updated his plugin, I have added that and replaced the the file here at the time of writing with the new ones, 32bit & 64 bit, the latter works perfectly for me.

Just downloaded the CPU top processor update.  Works great now!

Works great! Love it! Added these skins for myself: RAM temp, HDD temp and Fan Speed (with CPU clock frequency tooltip) from Speedfan sensors using your code.
