I don't think that 'centre graphic' distortion [stretch] is all that much of an issue that it needs commenting on.
I first started skinning LiteSTEP around late 97 ...and the central focus of the shell is its right-click menu popup. How the images were handled/resulted with 'stretch' or 'tile' [or both] was always simply personal preference. There IS no 'proper way'.....

Well, I beg to differ. Some sub-menus I have stretch the whole length of my screen therefore the distortion is very pronounced and frankly any graphics in the middle look plain ugly. It seems strange to me that I've never once seen you make a comment on a RightClick skin before and yet here you are butting your nose in on something that really isn't any of your business. If Nimbin disagrees with my comments then let him tell me, your input was not needed.

Nimbin...I made the same comment on one of your RightClick skins months ago. I mentioned that you were just recoloring the same frame and pasting in a new pic. You chose to ignore my comment yet you can respond to buzz ? Buzz and I both spend an entire day if not more on one RightClick skin. Both buzz and I have always helped anyone that asks. You never ask you just ignore the comments.

Really i don't care how much time you spend on a skin, that is irrelevant, your suggesting that just because you spend that time on a skin then everyone else should. as for ignoring your comments, why wouldn't i?. if all you have to add is useless comments like.. oh you just recolour the frame then whats the point of even making it in the first place. Don't leave comments on anything i do again please, your really not worth my time.

Should of been a given that the next comment would be from me. I've seen you make comments in the forum when you feel like being ' uppity' so dont pretend your beyond that. As for Buzz's comment - he was stating a fact that pictures on an entire RC menu will distort. Thats pretty much why you see no one else making them that way. His comment was to the point and didnt warrant any reply except from you. At least you answered for yourself this time.

i would like to see where i have made these so called uppity comments you speak of. and as for answering for myself...why have you got yourself involved in something that has nothing to do with you. you are answering for someone else right now. i don't see that person making any more comments so why should you. keep your nose out of other peoples business and i would like to see proof of these forum comments i supposedly made.

My supervision of the site encompasses all of it, not select parts.
If I have an opposing opinion [or for that matter, anyone else has, it is their right and privilege to voice such.
Again, I repeat...if a skinner determines he is happy with the potential issue of stretch, etc with an image that is HIS perogative entirely. If others believe it should be some other way they can comment politely that it 'could be better', but it is really all about the choice of wording....

Also remember, the skinner makes the skin for him/herself and uploads it to share with others, (well most do). If one doesn't like it, then one shouldn't use it. There are a hugh amount of skins I don't like for various reasons but I rarely post them.

Thats true Paul but I have never seen you in the RightClick Gallery which Im sure was buzz's point. I wouldnt have gotten involved in this but I felt Buzz's statement was not particularly hostile at all. Nimbin can make his RightClicks anyway he wants - but Buzz and I have spent a long time trying to get this program to produce skins that work correctly. If a windowblinds start menu was distorted im sure there would be 1000+ people to point that out. My supervision of the site encompasses all of it, not select parts.
