First, let me give you a little background about my ideas. I used to never use desktop icons. Allways used the quick launch bar. Then, I saw a screenshot of the icooler icons and just thought they looked pretty neat. So, I downloaded them and started playing around with ideas to kind-of highlight my icons etc. and keep the wallpaper area clean as possible. At the present time, all of my SS's have the picture frames ( lower right and upper left ) in them along with the meter's I use. I like the picture frames to kind-of change the appearence of the desktop when I am working. Now to answer your question, the black outer frame is just a solid black layer in my photoshop .psd file which has been cut out to have the style you see in the SS. It is then beveled and layered on top of the wallpaper. In my .psd file I can change the wallpaper to any picture I want and then save to a .jpg. The rest of the objects are just addons to get the things I use on my desktop the most. The frame can be any color, style, or texture you want. I just prefer to use black. I have another one I am working on that I will upload soon that is similiar but will give a different look than this one. Thanks again....

You know, you could easily make the frame into a DesktopX object, which would then sit on the desktop in front of the wallpaper, and changing the wallpaper would not affect the frame. Check out my desktop window objects: Link

MountainDragon..Thanks To be honest, I got some of my ideas from your work. I really like what you do and that sent me off on this trail of invention. Most of what I have done has come from artist such as you that gave me the ideas to work around. The next screenshot I will put up here soon actually came from another artist wallpaper. Hope they do not mind me cutting and selecting the parts I wanted. Thanks again...
