....."Depending upon the person, the appearance of the 'dream body' ranges from a gossamer-like form to an exact replica of the physical body. Having the ability to project consciousness can open up many interesting opportunities to the dreamer. Some claim to be able to travel to remote locations. They claim to be able to walk the beaches of Hawaii, explore the ancient pyramids of Egypt or even have a free ticket to the moon."
Craig's Astral Projection Experience......
Can you imagine what kind of doorways this could open for the disabled or the elderly, you could go anywhere in the world and experience real life experiences, life would never be the same, if, and it is a big if, they could make this available to the masse's, you could meditate in your front living room and go to Russia, or even Mars....I know that it would also open up a lot of doorways into...lets call it the dark side for now, as I'm sure if you can travel in these astral planes, who else or what else is travelling with you....then you could bring up the lazy side of things, I mean our kids are already becoming part of a culture, which within they think, why move when I can just google it, I mean nothing beats the real life experience, the hum of a crowd in a soccer stadium, the chanting of the protesters outside the embassy....but you also got to look at the good it could offer too, as I say the disabled and the elderly, kids who due to their illness has not been allowed to cross the front door threshold....what I'd love to do is try it, but I think the closest I am going to get to Astral Travelling is the design I did on this wallpaper, I remember once as a kid, reading this book, I can't for the life of me remember the title, but I'm sure a lot of you have read it, it was written by an old Tibetan monk called Lobsang Rampa, have you read it anyone, he has actually written one or two, I only read the one, it was very good reading and he goes deep into the prospect of Astral Travelling, its well worth the read if you are into these types of experiences....anyway you can't deny how exciting it would be to try, just think about it, going anywhere in the world, or in the universe for that matter...the only thing that bothers me, is how do you find your way to Mars if you have never been there, I mean what if there is a shortcut and you have to wake up before you've even got there, but if you'd known about the shortcut, you could have been there and back twice already Ha ha ha Ha I suppose these things you learn as you begin to travel, I for one would love to try it, a bit hesitant, but I would try it, with the right tutelage..........would you?????
The wallpaper was made using Photoshop and a illustration called Octopus by sbel02, a French artist/illustrator who has an awesome gallery, go check it out, well worth the look, he can be found here
