This is probably a stupid question, i've never really done any customization on windows, but if i just wanted the calender and time thing in the top left of my desktop how do i do that?

Actually the whole of the desktop info stuff is from samurize- no desktopx at all. You can replicate most of the functionality with desktopx though. I dont know which runs faster though. Detail on top left is - useage meter for each of the 4 quads, centre RAM meter, up and download speeds. I was inspired by the Eclipse desktop which some people may have seen on lifehacker, but the whole samurize theme was done from scratch by yours truly. Weather and other Icons and wallpaper from devart. I made the RSS icon myself though using potatoshop >
