Coming to you live from my desktop:
Folks, here’s the Naked Truth;
From my eyes this all started not too long ago back in the embryonic stages of Window Blinds 4.X generation. It was a mad experiment that allowed desktop backgrounds to flow through a Windows start menu and task bar, which quite frankly looked kinda cool.
They called it "alpha blending", but it might as well have been the year 1947 because the alpha blending pleateau like the sound barrier, couldn't be broken.
Rolling the clock forward a bit Alpha Blending was finally achieved with the new WB 5.0 version and the skinning community basically went crazy over it to the point where AERO became a household word.
Between Window Blinds new revolutionary capabilities and with Longhorn fast approaching, glass and aero blinds were in huge demand that spawned several styles.
In December 2005, JJ Ying floored the skinning world with his blinds Dreamland that not only started an evolutionary trend, it also set an extremely high standard of excellence in quality. Finally, we got an all clear glass blinds.
Since then skinners such as Butch, Tom Richter, Adni18 and Paul Eric has continued this bold approach to skinning yielding some of the most brilliant glass works around.
In 2007, John vStyler Gordon brought us Vienna 2 Spectrum which was a tremendous accomplishment. While we were celebrating V2’s release, vStyler had mentioned to me about possibly creating a Clear version of Vienna.
I thought about it for a hot second and all I could say was WOW! I hope you do.
My friends, vStyler visits the Screen shot gallery often. He sees what components, styles and trends are popular with the community. He asks for input from both skinners and non-skinners alike, but most of all, vStyler listens.
It’s 2009, and I'm totally stoked to present to you a Screen Shooter’s dream come true;
“Naked” WB by vStyler.
I hear the grumbles. Aw geez, another glass blinds! Wrong! Oh dear, another clone! Wrong! You’ve seen one, you’ve seen 'em all! Wrong! It’s not for daily use! Wrong, wrong, WRONG!
I’ll be brief.
Take a second to think about all of the World Class quality, highly detailed, off the hook one-of-a-kind made-for-daily-use blinds vStyler has given us every single time.
Without a doubt you already know it’s the same scintillating flawless quality that only vStyler can bring you. Except this time it’s a clear concept designed with Screen Shooters in mind. And as long as I’ve been with this community, I’ve never once had a skinner walk up to me and say hey, I made this especially for what you love to do. Now how totally cool is that people?
So if Naked WB ain't for you, don't even think about grumbling around me!
There are 2 styles for Naked with dark and light fonts which give Naked a seamless blending ability on any wall or texture. It’s quick reacting and takes what ever you throw at it beautifully.
I've tested Naked WB with a multitude of walls, DX Themes, WinStep, Object Dock and Dreams. Naked just plain ROCKS!
Now come on don't be shy, get back to nature and go Naked.
vStyler, you've done it again dude!
