.....I knew what was coming, these two quarreling lovebirds in the corner didn't have a clue, shame actually cos I have grown quite fond of the pair of them since this whole madcap adventure had started....the mission was go down into the Labyrinth and collect some information on Valhalla's hordes movements, His flanks had seem to have been busy lately and we needed to know what was going on, simple mission, hang around the outskirts of the Labyrinth until I seen the forward scouts, then retreat and make the mission statement back at HQ, the Hordes were on the move, if no scouts were seen , double back, no harm, no foul.....little did I know that when I went down into the Labyrinth, HQ, as usual, had got its information wrong, it wasn't the flanks that were moving, it was the whole Godamned Horde....when we had arrived in the Labyrinth, the forward scouts, and at least 5 platoons had already gone past and were firmly ensconced on the embankments of the Labyrinth waiting for the main Horde, Valhalla had bamboozeled the chiefs of staff....what was bloody worse though was I was stuck between 5 platoons of Valhallas best recon troops and the rest of the advancing horde, which by the noise were just around the bloody corner....3 automatic weapons, 2 handguns, 6 grenades and two knives, all to beat off the recon troops or the horde and warn the chiefs of staff....Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha,,,no one told me I'd laugh at the time of my death, I thought the whole world flashed before your eyes, dazzling lights and people talking to you..."Step into the Light".....all I could hear was the two arguing in the corner and the stealthy approach of a vast savage army, Abby didn't know what they did to female prisioners, so I had a bullet for her, Claude, well I gather I would let him go out his own way, either in a blaze of glory or the quiet diginified way I had chosen.....I shot Abby...the horrofied expression on Claudes face as I did it will haunt me well beyond the grave, then he clicked, I sadly closed my eyes and waited for the next shot, I heard the Cli........KAPOW.....I guess Claude was dead, some of them were running now I could hear that, I strapped the grenades securely to my chest and I took off running round that corner like an Olympic athlete, they stopped in amazement, some even started to turn back, so demonic must I have looked......I pulled one pin.......
