Well ... That is your opinion, and you are entitled to it. However, since my screenshot seems to be one of the most popularly viewed ones, I'd say you are most likely in the minority. Of course this is just my opinion.

Wallpaper is "XpShining" by TheAr. I just modified it by first changing it to monochrome, then back to 32 bit color, and slightly tinting the color with some blue and red( and of course adding the orange XP).Did this in Paint Shop Pro 6. For the chrome XP logos, I modified the browseui.dll file by changing the bitmaps in 304, 305 and 306 ( see http://www.virtualplastic.org/html/logo_thr.html) for more info.

man, does anyone else think this XP craze is going a little overboard? im not saying what you have is horrible or anyhting like that, because everyone has there own tastes and whatnot, but it seems like everyone is drooling over little windowsXP icons lately, yikes. talk about promoting a monopoly.

hmm just curious that aint xp is it? looks a bit rough for some of the icons menu panels text for xp? 
just was going to try put in another logo where your silver 1 is but noticed yours is alot bigger than xp's style pics
