Lylat System

This is a semi-classical Lylat System design from Star Fox 64. It features the base planets that are fairly well known to most players of the series. Due to the way Sins of a Solar Empire functions, I've had to make a few minor adjustments to planets to better reflect the standings of Corneria and Venom. Since I have not modded in anything pertaining to Star Fox, please use your imagination for it all. A basic overview follows:
- Zoness is a "Dead Asteroid" to coincide with years of heavy pollution. The planet never fully recovered and what little atmosphere burned away, leaving the planet at the mercy of the Solar winds.
- Aquas "does" have a colonizable land mass, while the planet is still more than 92% Aquatic, floating cities can be built. In terms of the game it's considered a Terran world.
- Meteo is not a colonizable asteroid, it is an asteroid belt. It does provide a minor resource bonus to Corneria.
- Fortuna is a frozen wasteland due to the complete failure of the weather control device - This assumes Fox took the Medium/Hard route to Venom and left the planet to be sabotaged by Star Wolf.
- Katina was abandoned after the war to recuperate forces, but is colonizable immediately by the Cornerian forces.
- Area 6 and Bolse were ravaged by heavy combat, Area 6 and Bolse are asteroids for the sake of that classic Venom defense.
- Like the game, Sector X and Sector Z ARE linked together. Do not forget this!
- Saggrasso Space Sector was added to include pirates, although physically closer to Corneria, it only links to Sector X and Solar.
- High detonations were registered from Macbeth during the war, the planet orbit shifted due to these heavy explosions and has since become volcanic due to the close proximity to Solar. (This is not represented in the engine due to the Sector X - Sector Z connection, otherwise the planet would intersect this connection and I have no idea how the game engine would react to that!)
- Although the uploaded map image appears backwards, in game things have the correct orientation. It is a Galaxy Forge issue.
- Corneria starts with a higher resource amount than that of Venom, this is due in part to two things. One: pirate forces that guard the nearby colonizable worlds for Corneria are a fair challenge to defeat - This would require a sizable force. Two: Venom, while having lesser resources has access to more colonies almost immediately due to the low pirate guard amount. It is possible in the early game for Venom to gain a 4 to 1 advantage over Corneria by quickly moving to take Zoness and their closer outlying asteroids. It is a gamble for Venom, however - who must now use a meager fleet to guard 4 planetoids fairly spaced apart compared to Corneria who needs a stronger fleet for the beginning game phase.
This is merely the first incarnation of the map, I plan on doing more and expanding this to include other planets from the games as well as adjusting the balance for Corneria and Venom's locations but to still coincide with popular thought.
Do enjoy!
