2/10/08-Just as a note, all planets are connected with phase lanes to the central star. This means that even in a large empire that emcompases multiple star systems, your planets are usually never more than 3 jumps from your homeworld. Loyalty to empire usually remains above 60% even at the frontier of your empire. It also gives a more star centered solar system apearance than multiple phase lanes. Trade ships do take a bit more time however. Each home system has 2 gas giants, 2 terran, 2 ice, 1 volcanic, 1 desert, 5 asteroid/Moons, and mine-able asteroid belts so that each civ starts from a standard system. Civs paterned after the Federation, Klingon, Romulin, and Cardasian races.
2/11/08-Have Played about 10 hours on map, may do some minor revisions (like getting rid of the Van Allen radiation belt interupting Earth/Sol phase lane which adds one more jump between Earth and the rest of it's empire and shortening some of the phase lanes in non-homeworld systems)
