Mobile Beam Defense and Frigates with Capitalship abilities for the Advent.
I liked BandW2's X10 mod, very cool, i use it when i play the game, but didn't want to use it here without BandW2's permission. So i touched up the terranhomeworld.entity file myself.
A small mini mod, but i like not having a limit on how many capitals i need, and i wanted a mobile beam defense for better protecting the planet when my fleet is away. the beam defense is in the cruiser folder at the end of the first row. I made it zero cost, because well... its not a big thing, and its nice to have it when you need it, and not have to worry about credits for it.
Anyway the frigates are in their normal place and cost the same, you will need to research the cruisers and the frigates you normally research to get to them, but I have copied all the advent capitalship abilities to 5 of the frigates. There is one additional Scout in the cruiser folder that has abilities, as well as the regular Scout with its normal set of abilities.
The mobile defense has the beam defense mesh, but still has the 'build' animation from the module constructor (they build and fight) :) but the animation looks like the beam is venting as it builds. I have tried to correct it, but got used to it, and it is a good indication of when the beam is building. :) So i left it in.
The touch up on the number of asteroids on home planet and the small increase in extraction value, was put in just to get into a game quickly, like BandW's X10 Mod, without waiting for a long buildup. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but if not, you can simply reset it in the terranhome.entity file or copy over a clean copy from the resource folder of the Forge Tools. If you don't know how, pop me a message in the mod forum and i can tell you how. But it is not really complicated. You probably already know how anyway. :) Take care and have fun, and i hope everyone will like having a mobile defense if they want it. :) -Teal
