I downloaded the neOS WB last night and really like the roll-up buttons and the sounds don't bother me. I had to return to my previous WB when I noticed some of the text was invisble with neOS, in particular the shitdown choices. Maybe it's a Vista only issue. I might play with the blind and see if I can fix that an upload a modified version, if that's allowed.

gevansmd you would need danilloOc's permission to update and upload a modified version.

I'll see if I even know how and then contact him through his page here. Thanks!

Bringing you up-to-date: I found what I think should be the section, Start menu popup menus. All my start menu popup menus have invisble text (icons are visible) but it looks as if the font is set to black so I don't get it. I'll contact the author and see if he has an answer.

Nice overall suite. Personally, I fully appreciate anyone taking the time to request permission before releasing updates. After all, it was their hard work and time.
That being said, much like software, i.e. Abandonware. If it is no longer possible to contact a skin author or they have simply moved on and no longer skin, then it the skin should be considered abandoned. Thus, it should be free for an active skinner to update their work the best possible.
I know in some cases, even those made for XP even before Vista came out, can actually work as is. Sadly, a huge number of skins simply won't work effectively for those on Windows 7.

(I ran out of room in the description above)
It's nice to relook at the older skins and see just what the skinners back then were up to, like a button onthe windows frame to roll up/down the window or sounds for the buttons. I know that some folks may not want sounds but you have to remember skinners were adding sounds way before Sound Packager came on the scene.
Take a look at the following screenshots to see how others used neOS on their desktops
