There's something wrong with the files - the skin won't load, at least not on my system.

That's strange. It works for me on both ver. 3.2.0.0 and 3.2.0.4 Is your version older than one of those?

Have you tried going to Theme Browser -> Import Theme then selecting the .zip or .smx skin file?
