I saw that "Mean People Suck" bumper sticker yesterday. It was funny then and its funny now!
It is a pretty slick wall and I'm glad it was uploaded anyways. I think that it was a good thing to do.

As much as I could agree with many people here, I don't think the pictures result should deteriorate because it wasn't modelled by the artist here. Let's assume EVERYONE from now on makes all of their own models for their finished product - it STILL wouldn't matter because we'd bash that artist for not making his or her own materials for those objects. If we all made our own models and materials, we'd bash them because they didn't make their own terrains and so forth..Do you all see what I'm getting at? It doesn't matter to me who made the model. I look at the finished product alone, and if the lighting is neet, the textures are pleasing and the colors look cool, then I give it a 10 - this is a 9 to me, simple yet complex. Opinions vary I know

Spyder has a point. The only real crime I see here wasnt that he used a model he didnt create, but that he insinuated that we couldnt figure out how it was done, and that he accomplished something he really didnt.
I dont have a problem with the frog,I have a problem with the fact that he didnt do anything with it.No background,no shadow no nuthing.Just a frog on a blinding white background.
Jaymoon you have to expect this sort of thing when you just throw something up there the way you did.
Stick around and show us some more stuff.

Well said Spyderbyte. I give it a 9 as well. I don't think it was jaymoon's intention to fool everybody into thinking it was totally all his work, he just misworded his description. If he would have said rendered unstead of created, the crap would'nt have hit the fan. So jaymoon, I like your rendering of Poser 4's frog. I changed the background to a minty green and it looks pretty good. I will agree on one comment made by several different people, that the white background is in deed blinding. I would love to see more of your work. So forget about it and let us all get on with our lives.

Well everybody makes mistakes and its easily done to word things wrong when doing a description. I wouldn't let a few negative remarks keep you from creating more stuff because im sure there are loads of people on here that would love to see more from you. Just be careful when wording things and everybody is happy.

Personally, I don't care how it was made. I think it's beautiful, and it didn't exist before Jaymoon made it into a wallpaper for us. I love it. I'm more impressed by something that appeals to me than by what fancy programs were used and how smart people are. Thanks man.

dhSIMON: I'm looking at what I think you're looking at, and I reckon, (from a hypothetical point of view) that you could in fact make this model with metaballs, I can't see anything there you couldn't do in Bryce5. I could of course be wrong, (self taught amatuer ) but with the proper application of time and much patience I think it *COULD* be done...

I've always wanted to make a gnarled old tree out of metaballs. I'll post the tripe I shall inevitably produce

Well...I was *thinking* about debuting my work here, but after reading the comments of a few people, I dunno.

Jaymoon, I think the froggy is cute, and I like it. You did a good job. Maybe you could add a light colored drop shadow to give it more depth...?

isn't ironic that nobody ever questions a photographer if they don't include "photographed with Nikon, Minolta, whatever", but those who design wallpapers are scrutinized without mercy if they don't reveal the tools they use? Additionally, how many photographers "create" the models they use? Last time I checked there weren't many people who could make a sunset, ocean or forest. At best, a photographer can only dress up and enhance an existing model before snapping the picture whereas wallpapers designers...oh, wait, isn't that what many do here? What exactly is the crime???
