lol.. sorry i have to say this, but seems like no one has read the foreword to your piece before commenting 
heheheh (happens all the time tho)... yes I beleive what you was told is correct... it is a Passion flower. Its actually quite a large bloom too, and definately one of the most unique. I've only seen one in person once, and ever since then I've always wanted one... tho I don't have a garden 
just my pots! ... Wonderfully taken photo btw I have a horrible sense for photography. NICE!

Believe it or not, I used a Canon Powershot A70, 3.5MP camera
Taken at 1/800 Speed, with a 4.0 Fstop and a custom made outdoor light filter.
