Your first few submissions might do well, or they might do badly, in any case I *do* think it's a good idea to be as original as possible. [I'm certainly not saying MY walls are ogiginal hehe..]
Follow some loose guide-lines:
1. Make sure it "works" as a wallpaper. Nothing overly cluttery: the only exception is if the material is WELL integrated. Sometimes I'll throw something on a wallpaper, stand back and realise although it *does* look neat, it doesn't quite fit sometimes things need to be left out: even if it IS expression.
2. Experiment experiment experiment. I'm happy to see this wallpaper because it already uses different colors, a brave move, since people are creatures of habit and therefore prefer BLUE wallpapers, and that's about it it seems hehe...
3. Shop around for ideas..
IE: Go to http://www.deviantart.com and browse the MACRO gallery, get some ideas don't RIP, but *do* get ideas for wallpapers...
4. Look at adverts, either on TV, in magazines and see how things are arranged, and without stealing the idea, loosely mimick it.
5. Be UNLIKE me and DON'T get stuck in graphics ruts doing the same wallpaper, over and over just because one got many downloads: tempting, but a bad idea. It'll only leave you stagnant for ideas. So be different, or at least try with each wallpaper to push not only your personal boundaries but the PUBLICS raise the bar for the rest of us so WE have to try harder *wink*
6. Don't listen to me, because I'm a noob myself hehe...
Very nice wallpaper, hope to see more in the future.....
