I like the beginnings this picture shows. In my opinion, you need more depth, especially the tree at the right. Your pond needs something more to look like it is water, possibly go lighter on the reflections, maybe some surface movement. Like I said this is only my opinion! I agree too many of these beautiful places are disappearing.

Thanks for your comments/suggestions tbc You hit the nail on the head with the water issue. One of the things I liked about this was the lighting but because of the lighting, when I tried to reduce the reflections or highlights in the water, the water blended in entirely with the grass. I may try and go back and add some surface movement but here too lies a problem. This is a pond, very little or no surface movement. Maybe I'll add some ripples and call it "the lake"

"Artistic License" Even a very small pond will have ripples in it, wind, a duck that had just taken off ( these leave major ripples!), a tree branch falls into the water, creates ripples, even a leaf. If you do go back and change thins=gs, try making the reflections lighter and the rst a little darker. You have the sun coming fr9om behind them, so they would be in more shadows, the rock, the light on the top right and some on the right side, what is on the left is darker, no sunlight hitting it. I really like the picture and I know you can improve on it!
Again, just my opinion!

chasindreams, I apologize for going on, with my second post. Sometimes I get carried away, and sometimes I need to keep my opinions to myself.

No apologies necessary!!!! I agree with your comments totally! In fact, I was going to go back and update this wall but I did this in Vue 4 and can't find the original vue file ( I have a bad habit of creating something, rendering it, saving the picture file and then closing the program w/o saving the original file so I can edit it.

I've done that with files, many times, usually, Only the ones I decide I want to edit later!
thank you, and hope to see more of your work
