I really think that Nikos' wall comment section is not the appropriate forum for a debate as to whether the rating system is 'right or not', but shame on those who believe admins/moderators should be excluded from rating.....particularly since we are the people doing the 'work' we are NOT entitled? How presumptuous.
FYI...Adni has always been at an access level which bypasses moderation...so his works are even less likely to be 'adversely weighted' by moderators as alleged.
Anyway...take this debate to a more appropriate place. I doubt Nikos really wants his upload comments turned into a circus for performing animals....

Jafo, first off, you did exactly what I asked you not to do.. take my comments as a personal attack. Secondly, I didn't say moderators should be excluded from rating, I said that their initial moderation should be considered their rating. After all, that is the most powerful rating, is it not?
Secondly, I know Adni has always had the access level to bybass moderation, but my comment were about the rating system itself, not just Adni's walls.
Finally, I will take this debate elsewhere, but I urge you again to please not take this personally, I have great respect for you guys who donate your time for this site. It's not about you, it's just about some of the policies.

Nikos I have always like the way you create these OS walls. As Horiz0n mentioned, it's not just a gradient background with a logo 'slapped' on it.
This wall has depth, style and creativity. I do agree with Treetog on the Window Vista text. In my oppinion the wall would look more original and professional with out the text.
Never the less I really like the wall. Thanks for sharing it my friend.

I guess my question is, is the fact that he put the text in the wall enough to give it a "bad" rating, considering the overall quality of it?

Who cares about what other people rate things. I noticed soon after I started coming to this site that the ratings seemed off on a lot of great quality works, and I dont take the ratings into consideration. If you like it download it a and say something nice to the author and move on. Anyone that goes strictly by the ratings is a mindless idiot whos opinions shouldnt be taken into consideration anyway. That said, I like your wall adni18, I think its definetly quality work

Adni, I think your quality of work here overrides the negative aspects of it being a Vista piece.
As far as I'm concerned, this is the ONLY Vista piece that deserves any recognition what so ever.

I think it is absolutely awesome, and so is all the other graphics I've seen from you. It would be a great loss for this site and for us "mortal-photoshop-wannabies". I love the flow and the smoothnes in your pictures, as well as your ability to merge nice colors.
