Look, if it's gonna be on EVERY virtual desktop (hm...with that feature would polish itself better...not really obvious to me! Was there a README? :] ) you don't need the full range of colors; it's supposed to be like an orchestra where you only do the pitch extension trix rarely; i.e. #FFFFFF (without color correction) is for glare off snow from a white source, and #D3D3D3 is for white snow being lit with a white light, but without glare. Red snow? Uh....
