I think you have a good eye and are in touch with 3D rendering. Not everyone has this knack. I also think that you are off to a great start with this wall. It's beautiful, rather dark for my use, but made my collection none the less! I really like your choice of color, texture and boarders as well as the subtle gloss, glass and echoed transparency effect you've acheived. This wall is totally universal and will fit nearly any desk scheme.
The main thing is to have fun with your creations! If it jumps out at you and make you say WOW, more than likely that's how others will be affected!
Go through Wincustomize's wallpaper gallery from the last page to the first and you'll see how walls have evolved over the years, then use your talent and that keen eye with a head full of ideas!
At least, that's what I think.

No need to apologize for the resolution, I was able to save it as 1024 X 768 with MS PictureIT and it's a perfectly beautiful wall!
