The connecting rod is wrong.  Also, the inner area of the rod is actually a bearing, so it's not completely attached as shown.  Otherwise, thew way you show it, it would be made of the same material as the rest of the rod.

The top of the Piston is also does not look right to me (they almost always have smooth slopes, not deep cuts, even on racing pistons), and whoever put those piston rings on needs to be shot.  LOL

Sorry- my gear head brain cells took over there......

Otherwise, nice wall!  It's nice to see a different subject matter, too!

Heh, i don't really know how much you know about cars and engines...I spent 26 years working on Audi, BMW, Porsche and Ferrari's with a degree Master-Tech. I Don't work on cars anymore professionally, design is much better and easier....So anyway in Europe we rebuild engines all the times and rod is ok and also bearing inside rod is different material but shadows are maybe making it different and bottom part of the rod is separate as u know so here bolts are not tight...Piston rings should be turned different way cause this way wouldn't do much for a compression if they move to same spot. So i made it this way so people can see them better i think, I wasn't trying to build engine that will run for real, lol...Talking about pistons here u can see some of those or you can do a research online http://www.autoimagination.co.uk/product_images/20080314180201_astra%20calibra%20vectra%20piston.jpg I really appreciate your comment but I'm doing this for fun so I can share some walls with other people but I to make it perfect i would have to work on one wall few days...so this is only 2 hour work and 2 hours render and its ok i would say...Many thanks everyone...

Sorry, didn't mean to ruffle your feathers.  I head Stardock Design, so I can't help being particular, especially when it comes to real objects.  For the connecting rod, I was referring to the cap.  I've never seen one that is completely square, and I've never seen a pic of one (even with exotic cars) that is completely square.  Also, the piston head that you showed is not for a BMW   When you represent real objects, there is more to compare to.  If you would have termed it "space craft parts", then it could be whatever you imagine.  All of this is constructive criticism- I don't even bother commenting on submissions if the author doesn't show potential.

lol you are right, thats not bmw piston, looks more like audi or vw 1.8 turbo older ones...and for a rod its not the exact rod old from 320, 323, 325 (ones with timing belt from 80') but it looks pretty much the same...So one more time no hard feelings and thank you for the conversation and the comment, at least we know each better...nice to find someone who knows something about cars...Cheers...
