All paths lead to righteousness? What is righteousness without evil? A mountain peak cannot exist without a valley.

Any spirit of righteousness cannot walk on all paths.

Thanks jtfolden and WiseOldMan.

SolusCado, you bring up a good point. However, Shakti Gawain said, "Spirit is the essence of consciousness, the energy of the universe that creates all things. Each one of us is a part of that Spirit - a Divine entity. So the Spirit is the Higher Self, the eternal being that lies within us."

I doubt the folks here at wincustomize want to host a religious/philosophic debate though, they have a way in turning into pages and pages of posts.

So I wont comment anymore on these types of posts. I do believe that they are important though. If need be I will set up a forum somewhere where these can be discussed.

Awful comforting to believe that whatever you do its OK, but its a load of crap.

I agree with you JDR, but responses like yours tend to be less though-invoking and more emotion-invoking, which servers little purpose.

I also concur with your comment McCade that this isn't the best forum for a religious or philosophical debate.

That said, I think everyone that reads any of this should give thought to the true motivations behind any of their beliefs. If it is just to make yourself feel better, then don't think that there is any greater truth in it. If it is to push peace around the world, keep in mind that those individuals that use religion to make war have a political and power agenda that shouldn't have any bearing on the core religous belief. Finally, do not judge any belief by the intelligence, sophistication, or cultural development of the majority of its constituents - that just gives rise to the same kind of bias and bigotry that causes violence in the first place.

I really don't think that the intent of this quote was to indicate that absolutely ANYTHING you do is "OK". OTOH, there's quite a lot of people in the world who could help matters by waking up and realizing that there is room on this planet for more than just one belief system.

I've heard some talk about the One "True (with a capitol T) religion" but I haven't seen it yet. I have, however, believe there are quite a few different paths of value.

arghhh. should have been "I do, however, believe...", not "I have..."

Thanks everyone for your feedback.

jtfolden, I could not agree more with you.

There are a few comments that I would like to discuss but I wont, at least not here. If anyone thinks that they would like to take this to a forum and discuss religion and life then let me know by email. If enought people are interested then I will set up a forum somewhere else. I don't feel that this is the place to do it.

Thanks again everyone.

nice integration of text into the wallpaper, though some overlap and varying clarity and size on the font may have made it a bit stronger overall

as far as my input on religious discussion - please refer to the film 'dogma' by kevin smith

Great wallpaper. i'm not sure on some of the symbols though. I recognize the jewish hexagram and the taoist taijitu, the wiccan pentagram, the hindu omkar, and the solar cross, but do you know what the others are? great stuff and i hope to see more from you.
