This looks pretty good, I would ask you try other colors as well, dark blue maybe would look really nice

I like the subtle lighting gradient and the offset "bricks" for the background - very nice.

I love the look. It is "simple" as you put it.
But your killing me with the words on the corner. What is that about?? Simplify man, simplify!! If it has to be there try a shadow behind the letters and leave the letters to be the same color (or a little lighter or darker) as the backround. I would suggest to look at andi18's wallpaper. Very subtil.
So I can't give it a 10 just yet.
